Joseph Merante
Executive Director

Joseph Merante is responsible for managing HDI’s strategic relations with the U.S. Government, including the U.S. Congress, the United Nations and its affiliated agencies.


Prior to joining Humpty Dumpty Mr. Merante was a career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State.  He served in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and at the United Nations.  His domestic assignments included both European Affairs and Public Diplomacy. Mr. Merante’s last overseas post was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy to the Vatican. 

Mr. Merante holds a B.A. in Political Science from Fordham University, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and a M.S. in Resources Management from the National Defense University.

Katarzyna Mazur
Finance Director

Katarzyna Mazur joined HDI as Finance Director in April 2013. In this role, Katarzyna oversees all financial, budgetary, compliance and administrative aspects of HDI’s programmatic portfolio. 

Katarzyna holds a BBA degree in Finance and Investments from Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY).

Nataliia Sydorova
Social Media Director

Nataliia Sydorova joined HDI as Social Media Director/ Development in June 2020. 

Prior to joining HDI Nataliia held a position of Project Manager in OVAL trading company in Ukraine. Nataliia holds a MA in Education. 




Hana Hama
Technical Support Assistant

Hana Joined HDI as a Technical Support Assistant in July 2020.
In addition to working with HDI, Hana is an entrepreneur in Kurdistan-Iraq. 

He currently runs the digital marketing and IT solutions startup, Canvas. Hana served five years as a photojournalist and graphic designer while studying Business Administration and IT at The American University Of Iraq.

Dheeraj Kaushik
Consultant – South Asian Programs
Dheeraj Kaushik is based in Nassik, India where he is the founder of several internet start-ups including Fortcombs Brand. Mr. Kaushik is dedicated to cooperation and collaboration among the nations of South Asia and if focused on supporting projects which assist the most vulnerable, especially women and girls.
