HDI Promotes Intercommunal Dialogue in Norway June 12-13, 2023.

The Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI) works around the world to inform and foster dialogue amongst critical stakeholders on key global issues. We do this through our programs with the U.S. Congress and the United Nations, engaging young people, supporting cultural diplomacy, and working on humanitarian programs. HDI is committed to supporting cultural diplomacy, including implementing programs with U.S. Embassies and Consulates that encourage interreligious dialogue.

Under the sponsorship of U.S. Embassy Oslo, HDI programmed two leading Muslim-American youth leaders, Isra Chaker and Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, in Oslo, Norway, where they discussed the American Muslim experience. On June 12 and 13, Ms. Chaker and Ms. Al-Khatahbeh met young Muslim Norwegians and engaged with leading Norwegian organizations focused on inclusion, diversity, and nondiscrimination. This included speaking at events organized by The Muslim Dialogue Network (MDN), an organization that, through its member mosques, represents over 30,000 Norwegian Muslims and Kirkens Nodgejlp (Church Aid), which is one of Norway’s largest aid organizations which provides emergency disaster aid, works for long-term development in local communities, and address the root causes of poverty.

HDI would like to thank the U.S. Embassy in Norway and The Office of International Religious Freedom of the U.S. Department of State Office for making this program possible.
