HDI Cultural Envoys Selected to Represent the United States at Expo 2020 Dubai

HDI Cultural Envoys, the Harrisonburg Kurdish/American String Quartet and Culinary Diplomacy Envoy, Adrian Miller have been selected to represent the United States at the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Among thousands of outstanding candidates, these artists were chosen to be among the 275 U.S. acts to represent the finest in American music, dance, culinary arts, and sports. The Harrisonburg Kurdish American String Ensemble will perform at Expo 2020 October 13-19. This String Ensemble is a Virginia-based group composed of American fiddlers and Kurdish-American classical performers who have created a unique musical fusion. Soul Food Scholar Adrian Miller will be at Expo 2020 February 13-16. He will prepare typical African-American dishes and highlight the crucial role that African-Americans have played in the development of American cuisine.
