Congressman Donald  M. Payne, Jr.  (D-NJ) Joins HDI Congressional Advisory Board

Congressman Payne, Jr. joins 31 other Members of the U.S. Congress to whom HDI turns for advice and guidance on its cultural, humanitarian, and international outreach programs.

Congressman Payne, Jr. has represented New Jersey’s Tenth Congressional District since 2012.  The Tenth District includes Newark, which is the largest city in the State of New Jersey.  It also includes Newark Liberty International Airport, one of the most important international gateways in the United States.  Congressman Payne, Jr. serves on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, where he is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials.  He is also a member of the Committee on Homeland Security.

Congressman Payne, Jr. has been active in HDI’s program initiatives and has participated in HDI’s Congressional delegations with other Members to the United Nations in New York and overseas.
