HDI Brings Mr. Navid Hanif (UNDESA), to Wilkes University (Virtually) -The Third of HDI’s Higher Education Alliance 2021 Series

The Higher Education Alliance (HEA) of the Humpty Dumpty Institute and the Global Partnerships Forum collaborated with Wilkes University in organizing a virtual presentation by Mr. Navid Hanif. Mr. Hanif joined UNDESA in 2001; until 2003, he was Senior Policy Advisor in the Division for Sustainable Development and member of the team for the World Summit on Sustainable Development held in Johannesburg in 2002. In 2010, Navid Hanif was appointed as Head of the newly established DESA Strategic Planning Unit and then served as Director of the Office for ECOSOC Support and Coordination (June 2012 – February 2018).
Mr. Hanif engaged a large group of students in a virtual dialogue. The starting point for the discussion was “How to create value out of values.” HEA’s next program at Wilkes University will feature Dr. Chantal Line Carpentier, Chief, UNCTAD (New York). The virtual presentation will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 3 PM (EDT).
The Higher Education Alliance is a program jointly operated by the Humpty Dumpty Institute and the Global Partnerships Forum. Its mission is to bring U.N. and international-focused programs to campuses around the United States.
