HDI Congressional Advisory Board Member (CAB) Representative Marcia L. Fudge (D-OH) Named Secretary-Designate of the Department of Housing and Urban Development

President-elect Joseph R. Biden, Jr. has selected Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (D-OH) as Secretary-designate of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. HDI extends its sincerest congratulations to Congresswoman Fudge. The Congresswoman is a long-time member of HDI’s Congressional Advisory Board (CAB). Congresswoman Fudge has taken part in HDI Congressional Programs at the United Nations and overseas.  

In 2015, Congressman Fudge was an important participant on a bipartisan HDI delegation to Sudan. The Congresswoman’s interest and determination resulted in expediting needed U.S. medical equipment reach Sudan.  This was immensely helpful in addressing the needs of women’s health in the country.  Rep. Fudge also traveled to Bahrain and UAE with HDI.  In the UAE Congressman Fudge was an honored guest at The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The world renowned Cleveland Clinic is located in Congresswoman Fudge’s district in Ohio.
