UN Diplomats to Visit Montana

HELENA - United Nations diplomats from seven countries will visit Montana for four days beginning Sunday.

The visit is sponsored by a New York nonprofit group, the Humpty Dumpty Institute, as part of its U.N. Across America program.

The trip will showcase Montana as an innovator in the use of environmentally friendly technology and energy efficient programs for the 21st Century.

Gov. Brian Schweitzer will host a "Conversation on Energy" highlighting Montana's commitment to sound energy programs. The U.N. diplomats will also have a roundtable at the University of Montana and will meet with American Indian leaders and members of the Helena business and civic community.

The delegation will include diplomats from Brunei, Denmark, Finland, Iraq, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
