On Tuesday, March 6, 2012, Albany State University, in conjunction with The Humpty Dumpty Institute’s Higher Education Alliance for the United Nations (HEA), hosted a lecture on the inner workings of the World Bank. The distinguished presenter invited to campus was Mr. Thomas Blinkhorn. Mr. Blinkhorn has had a 30 year career in international development with the World Bank. Before joining the Bank, he worked for 15 years as a reporter and editorial writer for newspapers in Canada and the US.
In his lecture, Mr. Blinkhorn discussed his work in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Asia in the agriculture sector, natural resource management, municipal and social services, as well as environmental, cultural heritage and distance learning sectors.
