Since its founding in 1998 the Humpty Dumpty Institute has strived to foster dialog between the United Nations and the U.S. Congress by arranging for U.S. Senators, Members of Congress, and Congressional Staff to travel to New York City and meet and discuss issues with U.N. Officials. The Humpty Dumpty Institute is the only NGO that consistently brings together the leadership of the legislative branch of the United States Government and the leadership of the United Nations. Over the course of forty-two programs Humpty Dumpty has hosted over 550 Members of Congress, Senators, and staff at the United Nations where they have met with the U.N. Secretary General, his senior deputies, and dozens of foreign ambassadors accredited to the United Nations. These programs allow U.S. elected leaders and their staff to better understand how the United Nations can complement U.S. foreign policy objectives as well as allow them to present ideas, concerns, and proposals directly to the United Nations.
